What a privilege it is to be a part of God’s people and to be His ambassador in our families, churches, community, and world. His call for us to serve Him and His people was demonstrated through His own Son, and it is a high calling, indeed, to represent Him to a world desperately in need of His care.
Opportunities within Our Church Family

Blooms to Go
Women’s Ministry Team
Each week the flowers from the Sanctuary are taken down and disassembled on Monday morning. These volunteers come to the church, assemble small arrangements (very basic), and have a list of recipients (the sick, the shut-ins, the bereaved, and the elderly) to whom they should be delivered. Volunteers for this ministry will serve on this ministry team on a rotating basis. The flower ministry is fun and brings joy not only to the recipients but to the volunteers, as well.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with the livestream, television, and radio outreach ministries of the church. Absolutely no experience is necessary, and volunteers can be 16 years old or older. Volunteers assist with the technical aspects of production, and we provide all of the training that you need. If you can use a cellphone camera and tune a radio, you have all the skills you need to join the crew!

Funeral Meal Ministry Team
Women’s Ministry Team
Members of this ministry team cook and serve a meal for the families in our congregation following the death of loved one. This is an excellent opportunity to minister to those in our church body during a time of need. Greeter Ministry
Our greeters are the friendly faces who are the first contact for visitors and friends who gather on our campus on Sundays. Greeters also help show the way through our large, confusing building (to both old and new people at our church). This is a great way to serve the church and get to know our fellow church members. To join the team of greeters, please contact Jennings Duncan at jennings@fpcjackson.org.
New Member Hospitality
Women’s Ministry Team
Do you remember what it felt like to be new to a place? Wouldn’t it have been nice to have someone call to invite you to go with them? That’s what this ministry team is. Before each WIC event (4 times a year) you will receive the name and contact numbers of one of our new members so that you can invite them to join you and other friends for our luncheons and events. If you are unavailable for that event, others can fill in for you. Also, this ministry needs greeters to welcome and reach out to those attending our fellowship events. A friendly smile and a hello go a long way in making people feel welcome.
