About: Charlie Wingard
Minister of Shepherding
Before joining the FPC staff in May 2023, Charlie spent 38 years as an ordained pastor in the PCA and OPC, serving congregations in North Carolina, Massachusetts, Alabama, and Mississippi. His studies took him to the University of the South (B.A., political science), Princeton Theological Seminary, Vanderbilt Divinity School (M.Div.), and Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary (D.Min.).
Charlie also serves as a Professor of Pastoral Theology, Dean of Students, Dean of Chapel, and Director of Field Education at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson.
Charlie and his wife, Lynne, love the ministry of hospitality and consider it an essential component of pastoral care in both church and seminary.
