Every woman at First Presbyterian Church is a member of the Women in the Church (WIC) and is invited to participate in activities, services, studies, and ministries provided especially for women.
The WIC sponsors programs with outstanding speakers and teachers who challenge women in their spiritual growth and offers many opportunities for service and mission in which women are invited to use their gifts to serve, support, and care for the body of Christ and our community.

Revelation: Victory in Jesus
Continues: January 27 | 6 PM | Miller Hall
This spring MOMS at Night will continue our study, Revelation: Victory in Jesus. In the book of Revelation, the apostle John records the visions he was given: visions which tell of the resurrected and glorified Jesus and the throne room of heaven. Among others, there are images of angelic hosts and demons, battles and wars, a garden and a wedding. We are also given a picture of our earthly struggles, our false idolatries, our false securities and we discover that what we think is important is actually fleeting and much of what we may invest our lives in is not as certain and significant as we may think it is.
Our study will give us a picture of life on earth through the lens of heaven. The first few chapters show us that God has pulled back the curtain of heaven and invited John and his readers to view what He has already done, what He is doing at present, and His plans for the future of His creation. John’s beautiful vision of Jesus on the throne will grow our desire to be with Him and we will say as the apostle writes in the last sentence of the book, “Come, Lord Jesus!”

Exodus: The God Who Makes Himself Known
Thursday Mornings
9:15–11 a.m.
Teachers: Melissa Abraham, Helen Lewis, Carol Anne Miconi, and Ella Payne
Beginning September 18
The book of Exodus tells the tale of God saving Israel to become His treasured possession. The whole story is a covenant narrative – the promises God made to Abraham are fulfilled. In every page of Exodus, the Redeemer is revealed: Israel’s story is our story. The same God who
delivers Israel from slavery in Egypt, saves us from slavery to sin and service to the pharaohs of this world. In Exodus, God first gives his people the law. But it isn’t just a list of what not to do. Nor rules for a just society. Instead, the law is to enable us to give wholehearted worship to a
just God. He doesn’t just tell us what we have to do, He reveals himself and lifts our eyes to the promised land He has prepared where we will worship Him as the one true God.
The format will be large group lecture and small group discussion. This Bible study is for women of all ages, including a small group for mothers of teens. There is a nursery available upon request for children ages three and under.

The Constitution of the Christian Faith
Thursday Mornings
Thursdays: 9:45–11 a.m.
Teacher: Laura Husband
Beginning September 18
John Calvin said that if we gain an understanding of the book of Romans, we have an open door to all the most profound treasures of Scripture. This book is most certainly a profound doctrinal treatise. But
Paul did not sit down one day and decide to write a textbook on doctrine. He wrote a letter to a specific church to help the congregation of that church face the struggles of living in a pagan world. Like those
early Christians in Rome, we Christians today need to understand what we believe and why we believe it as we live in a pagan society and a fallen world. Everyone lives what they believe. If we don’t understand who God is and what He has done, then how can we worship and serve Him effectively? Join us on Thursday mornings as we study the book of Romans, often called “the Constitution of the Christian Faith”.
The format will be large group lecture. This Bible study is for women of all ages. There is a nursery available upon request for children ages three and under.
What is a Circle Bible Study?
Circles are groups of women who meet the second week of each month (September-May); the days, times, and locations vary. See the listing of Circles below and join one that meets at a time and location convenient to you! Some meet in homes, and some meet at the church. A nursery can be provided for those that meet at the church. Circles meet for Bible study, prayer, fellowship, and to learn of opportunities for service within our church. Circles actively support missionaries and are involved in the lives of our Golden Circle members, as well as helping with Women’s Ministry programs throughout the year.
How do I Join a Circle?
If you are already in a Circle, you will automatically be in it next year unless you contact us and let us know you’d like to change. If you’re new to Circles, just decide which Circle you would like to join. View our circle list below.
How Can I Register?

We will meet together at We Will Go for a time of prayer, Bible reading, and fellowship. Join us to be a part of this new group! “Speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the Head, into Christ, from whom the whole Body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” Ephesians 4:15-16
