DESCRIPTION:An election for the office of elder will be held Sunday\, February 1\, at 10:30 a.m.\, in the sanctuary. The 28 candidates have undergone a lengthy and strenuous review and training process\, and the Session has confidence that all of these men are fit for the office. Please take time to review the nominee information available online at fpcj.ms/elder-election.  \nThe election will be held during a congregational meeting in the sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday\, February 1. You will be able to vote for as many candidates as you feel led to.  \nOn that day\, children age two and under may remain in the nursery\, and parents of older children are asked to please pick up from Sunday School promptly at 10:20 a.m. so that teachers may also attend the meeting.  \nJoin us in prayer that the Lord will raise up a group of godly men to help lead this church.

DESCRIPTION:Building up Mid-South Men in the Gospel\nOur annual conference for men in the mid-south takes place Friday\, February 6\, led by our guest preacher Randy Pope. Join us for supper and then worship with your brothers in Christ as we raise our voices together in praise. There is no cost for this event\, but contributions towards our costs are very welcome. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama and Reformed Theological Seminary. He and his family moved to Atlanta in 1977 to plant Perimeter Church. Randy is the author of four books and a discipleship curriculum used globally entitled The Journey. His latest book is Insourcing: Bringing Discipleship Back to the Local Church.
