SUMMARY:MOMS @ Night Kickoff
DESCRIPTION:MOMS is a Bible study for expectant moms\, those who hope to become moms\, and those whose youngest child is in the sixth grade or below. We have two options – one meeting every Wednesday morning and one meeting two Tuesday nights each month. A nursery for ages three and under and homeschool room/childcare for children ages twelve and under are available\, but space is limited. \nThis fall our study is Revelation: Victory in Jesus. In the book of Revelation\, the apostle John records the visions he was given: visions which tell of the resurrected and glorified Jesus and the throne room of heaven. Among others\, there are images of angelic hosts and demons\, battles and wars\, a garden and a wedding. We are also given a picture of our earthly struggles\, our false idolatries\, our false securities and we discover that what we think is important is actually fleeting and much of what we may invest our lives in is not as certain and significant as we may think it is. \nOur study will give us a picture of life on earth through the lens of heaven. The first few chapters show us that God has pulled back the curtain of heaven and invited John and his readers to view what He has already done\, what He is doing at present\, and His plans for the future of His creation. John’s beautiful vision of Jesus on the throne will grow our desire to be with Him and we will say as the apostle writes in the last sentence of the book\, “Come\, Lord Jesus!”

SUMMARY:Exodus: The God Who Makes Himself Known Women's Bible Study
DESCRIPTION:The book of Exodus tells the tale of God saving Israel to become His treasured possession. The whole story is a covenant narrative – the promises God made to Abraham are fulfilled. In every page of Exodus\, the Redeemer is revealed: Israel’s story is our story. The same God who delivers Israel from slavery in Egypt\, saves us from slavery to sin and service to the pharaohs of this world. In Exodus\, God first gives his people the law. But it isn’t just a list of what not to do. Nor rules for a just society. Instead\, the law is to enable us to give wholehearted worship to a just God. He doesn’t just tell us what we have to do\, He reveals himself and lifts our eyes to the promised land He has prepared where we will worship Him as the one true God.

SUMMARY:The Constitution of the Christian Faith
DESCRIPTION:John Calvin said that if we gain an understanding of the book of Romans\, we have an open door to all the most profound treasures of Scripture. This book is most certainly a profound doctrinal treatise. But Paul did not sit down one day and decide to write a textbook on doctrine. He wrote a letter to a specific church to help the congregation of that church face the struggles of living in a pagan world. Like those early Christians in Rome\, we Christians today need to understand what we believe and why we believe it as we live in a pagan society and a fallen world. Everyone lives what they believe. If we don’t understand who God is and what He has done\, then how can we worship and serve Him effectively? Join us on Thursday mornings as we study the book of Romans\, often called “the Constitution of the Christian Faith”.
