DESCRIPTION:There are two upcoming offerings of the Membership Class. The first will begin September 7 and will meet on Sundays at 9:45 a.m. in M123. The second will begin October 15 and will meet on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. in Westminster Hall 204. \nThis is the place to begin if you are considering membership at FPC or would like to know more about our church and the basics of our faith and practice. During the class\, we will learn what we share in common with all Bible-believing Christians\, as well as about the distinguishing tenets of Presbyterianism. We will hear from ministry leaders about what’s taking place at First Pres\, while providing a great opportunity to meet others who have recently found a home here at FPC. \nContact Emily Eastman at emilye@fpcjackson.org to register or to ask for more information.

DESCRIPTION:Students in grades six-twelve are invited to join us for Student Choir! We rehearse Sunday afternoons 4:30-5:15 with supper to follow. Students will develop and practice basic musical skills\, lead worship in one Sunday night service a month\, and enjoy meaningful fellowship with other student choir members\, mentors\, and staff. SUMMARY:MOMS Welcome Back Coffee
DESCRIPTION:MOMS is a Bible study for expectant moms\, those who hope to become moms\, and those whose youngest child is in the sixth grade or below. We have two options – one meeting every Wednesday morning and one meeting two Tuesday nights each month. A nursery for ages three and under and homeschool room/childcare for children ages twelve and under are available\, but space is limited. \nThis fall our study is Revelation: Victory in Jesus. In the book of Revelation\, the apostle John records the visions he was given: visions which tell of the resurrected and glorified Jesus and the throne room of heaven. Among others\, there are images of angelic hosts and demons\, battles and wars\, a garden and a wedding. We are also given a picture of our earthly struggles\, our false idolatries\, our false securities and we discover that what we think is important is actually fleeting and much of what we may invest our lives in is not as certain and significant as we may think it is. \nOur study will give us a picture of life on earth through the lens of heaven. The first few chapters show us that God has pulled back the curtain of heaven and invited John and his readers to view what He has already done\, what He is doing at present\, and His plans for the future of His creation. John’s beautiful vision of Jesus on the throne will grow our desire to be with Him and we will say as the apostle writes in the last sentence of the book\, “Come\, Lord Jesus!”
