SUMMARY:Circle Bible Studies | FIRST & SECOND PETER: A Living Hope in a Hard World
DESCRIPTION:Graphic\, Notebook Cover\, Bookmarks FIRST & SECOND PETER: A Living Hope in a Hard World\nOriginally written to Gentile Christians living in the northern provinces of Asia Minor (or modern-day Turkey) who were beginning to suffer persecution for their faith\, Peter’s letters instruct believers about living as Christians in a society that is hostile to their values and lifestyle. Both letters encourage Christians who are suffering for their faith in all places and all times\, showing us how to live out our redemption in a hostile world. Although salvation may involve suffering\, the gospel brings hope also as the grace of God is amplified in our lives. \nJoining a Circle is a wonderful way to get involved in the life of the church and make a big church feel like family. Circles are groups of women who meet monthly (September–May) for Bible study\, prayer\, fellowship\, and to learn of opportunities for service and missions within our church. To register\, contact Lisa Oswalt at 769-333-5802 or lisao@fpcjackson.org.

SUMMARY:Women's Ministry Christmas Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:Loving the Local Church: Coming Alongside\nChristmas Luncheon\nTuesday\, December 11\n11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.\nJill Dale\, Speaker \nYou are warmly invited to join us on Thursday\, December 11\, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.\, for our Christmas Luncheon with speaker Jill Dale. \nNavigating a child’s cancer diagnosis and death is a deeply lonely and painful experience\, especially for young parents. When life takes a turn you never expected\, it can feel almost impossible to be open about your struggles in a culture that often discourages vulnerability. Although God has called us to live in community\, many of us find it easier to pull away when we are hurting. Jill Dale will share the story of her son Campbell’s cancer journey\, his death\, and what the years afterward have held. She will also reflect on the tender and faithful ways the body of Christ came alongside her family with encouragement\, presence\, and love. \nWe hope you will join us as we consider together how the Lord cares for His people through His church. \nThe cost for the luncheon is $10\, collected at the door.
